This can mean that a ‘headline-grabbing’ price is used to draw customers in to an agreement however additional costs are left hidden in the small print only revealed when the final bill is handed over. Common hidden charges include fees for additional applicants, fees for dealing with the mortgage lender and fees for telegraphic transfers.
