The rebrand is aimed at establishing the packager as a national player as it moves away from its traditional South Coast roots.
David Wylie, managing director of c2, said: “Our research showed the former name ‘County’ suggested an entity based in the Southern counties. c2 does not suggest geographical limitation. The name and importantly the trademark both illustrate the evolution of the company and the fact that we are nothing without our customers. We value them above all else and in essence they are the reason we exist”
Commenting on the name change Matthew Bright, managing director of distributor and packager Optoma, said: “The new name makes it sound like a virtual business or online business. Branding is about emotion and traditionally it is a struggle to create this for virtual businesses.”
The packager has also announced that it is recruiting for positions in East Anglia, the North East, North West, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
