The Ipswich-based servicer provides residential and commercial mortgage administration to banks and financial institutions.
Crown dealt with commercial servicing, residential primary and special servicing, new mortgage origination, equity release administration, credit management and due diligence.
Andrew Doyle, Capita Mortgage Services’ managing director, said: “As Capita Mortgage Services we retain all of the considerable knowledge we have built up over the years, while also drawing on resources offered by the Capita group.
“Both existing and potential clients will be reassured by the knowledge that their investments are being managed by a company with a solid foundation in the financial services sector.
“We are also able to draw upon the skill-set of the larger group, creating efficiencies and new opportunities for development.”
Robbie Hughes, debt and banking chief executive of Capita Asset Services, added: “Domestic mortgage administration is a relatively new market for Capita, which currently manages £129bn of commercial loans.
“But I believe that the combined expertise of Capita and Crown will provide a compelling proposition both for traditional mortgage providers and new entrants to the market, particularly as we invest in infrastructure to support both existing and new mortgage administration.”
