S&P has also received an average ranking as a special servicer of commercial loans and residential mortgages in the UK.
The ratings agency recognised Crown as one of the longest established European third party primary and special servicers in the commercial mortgage market and noted the company employs experienced personnel at all levels.
Staff training levels were also praised in addition to rational and detailed processes during changing market conditions.
Eric Stoclet, chief executive officer at Crown Mortgage Management, said: “S&P has recognised our merit as a primary mortgage servicer of both commercial and residential loans and has noted in particular the strength in the company’s management, staff training and growth of assets during a difficult environment.
“The news should give our clients further confidence that we will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with them as the challenging economic climate continues in the New Year.
“We feel we are in a strong position in the market place, having placed a focus on developing the strength of our management and business development.
“The ratings upgrade from S&P is further evidence that Crown’s business strategy is working and we look forward to further growth opportunities during 2012 and beyond.”
