Tim, who was previously with Mortgage Express for 16 years but left his post as managing director earlier this year, was instrumental in building Mortgage Express into one of the UK’s leading specialist lenders. His approach to mortgages has been well publicised and has made him one of the industries most respected figures.
Christopher May, director at The Mortgage Times Group commented: "Needless to say I am delighted that Tim has accepted this position with us. We were in the process of strengthening our corporate governance and were looking to appoint a non-executive director to add value to the business.
"Tim’s vast knowledge and experience will help to shape our strategic development further. He has been instrumental in building Mortgage Express’ lending proposition which we all know to be one of the best in the market. We have some major growth plans in the next 12 months and having such an experienced industry figure within our organisation will enable the group to realise its growing ambitions.
"The Mortgage Times Group has astonished industry figures by posting record after record business volumes and has seen a meteoric growth over the last four years. Starting off as a packager the group has evolved since M Day to become one of the largest and most respected networks in the industry."
