Peter Ford, professional services director for Badger Holdings, dot’s parent company, said: “Overall lending has slowly started to improve with June seeing a 6.7% increase in mortgage approvals according to the latest e.surv Mortgage Monitor, but the mortgage market changes at a rapid rate and is not as simple as finding the cheapest deal.
“Buyers are increasingly aware of the benefits of working with a professional and experienced mortgage adviser to help them to identify and secure the most suitable mortgage for their own personal circumstances”
As a result, dot financial services has had to increase its staff levels in order to meet with the rising demand for its network of advisers. Derek Jones, who initially joined dot from Legal & General on a contract basis in April, now holds the position of sales and compliance manager.
He commented: “I will be responsible for working with the dot team to help capitalise on all enquiries whilst providing ongoing training and development for our team of advisers and ensuring that our practices comply with the exacting standards required within the industry.”
In January 2011, dot financial services also became an appointed representative of Legal & General Partnership Services. Peter Ford concluded: “The move has meant that we are now able to offer our clients access to all of the mortgages and lenders available from the Legal & General mortgage club and I feel this has had an impact on our growing success.”
