The society has made an immediate donation to local hospital Russell’s Hall.
Dudley Building Society has launched its ‘Giving Back’ community initiatives for 2020/21.
It sees the society make an immediate donation to local hospital, Russell’s Hall, of a thousand washbags and toiletries in response to the current crisis as well as donations to five local care homes.
Sam Ward, commercial director at The Dudler, said: “The ‘Giving Back’ initiatives are simply the practical expression of our wider responsibility to care for the communities we serve.
"Working closely with our members and the wider population in Dudley’s heartland is one of our core commitments and a major plank of our ongoing engagement strategy as a building society with its roots buried deep in the Black Country.
"The 1,000 wash bags donated to Russell’s Hall Hospital represent just one of the more immediate initiatives we have undertaken in the community.
"We have also donated personal care packages to five of our local care homes, which are designed for both careworkers and residents to protect them against the spread of COVID-19, along with items to keep residents occupied and boost morale, particularly as their loved ones are unable to visit during this challenging time.”
