Duncombe was most recently head of sales with Abbey for Intermediaries. Prior to that he had a varied career with Platform and was director of sales at Advantage.
Duncan Crocker, managing director at Legal & General Network, said: "Jeremy has delivered very well wherever he has been and I know he will be a popular and successful appointment for us.

L&G has also redefined the role of the Club's managing director Ben Thompson who will now take on a broader role developing wider strategic opportunities across the Mortgage Club and Network.
Crocker said: βI am pleased with the expanded role for Ben who will join the Network executive team and focus on taking the Club to its next strategic level by developing potential opportunities through wider Legal & General Group synergies and brand leverage.β
The Club also announced that Stephen Smith, director, housing and external affairs for the Network becomes chairman of the Club as well as retaining executive responsibility for Legal & General's estate agency and survey businesses.
