The panel now includes Loosemores, based in Newport, South Wales and McVey & Murricane, based in Glasgow.
These two firms, along with others on the Openwork preferred panel, undertake to provide Openwork’s 800 financial advice firms and 2,300 financial advisers with an enhanced level of service. Specifically, homeowners will not be charged any fees if, for whatever reason, their case does not complete. This includes the cost of aborted searches.
Alan Dring, sales director of eConveyancer, said: “The Openwork preferred panel now consists of a small number of large legal firms who are able to guarantee a high quality service on a ‘no completion, no fee’ basis. Openwork members will continue to have access to the 170 other firms of solicitors on the eConveyancer system, but they will get additional benefits by using firms on the preferred panel.”
Paul Shearman, mortgage proposition director at Openwork, said: “The preferred panel concept has proven to be very popular with our members and we’ve been working closely with eConveyancer to enhance the panel where possible. This enables our members to offer their clients a real added value service: low cost conveyancing on a ‘no completion, no fee’ basis.”
