The West Brom is using eConveyancer within its branches to enable staff to locate and instruct a conveyancer on behalf of their clients and then monitor the conveyancer’s progress thereafter.
Alan Dring, sales director at eConveyancer, said: “We’re delighted to be making eConveyancer available via the branch network of West Brom Building Society. This year, we’ve added GMAC, HBOS and Yorkshire Building Society to our list of users, which also includes companies such as Mortgages plc, Mortgage 2000, Pink, Freedom Lending, Accord, Coventry BS, Paymentshield, Whitechurch Group, Trigold, Openwork, Mortgage Intelligence, The Exchange, Sesame, MortgageBrain, Mortgage Promotions and TBMC.
“The feedback we have received from users is that our system is easy to use, enhances their customer proposition and enables them to generate more income. It’s not just lenders who tell us that, it is also more than 12,000 intermediaries throughout the UK who use our system on a regular basis.”
Neil McBride, head of direct mortgages for the West Brom, said: “The eConveyancer system is a complimentary enhancement to the range of property buying services already available to borrowers via our branch network. Most borrowers do not maintain an ongoing relationship with a firm of solicitors and eConveyancer enables them to find, appoint and track the activities of a solicitor quickly, easily and more cheaply than they could do for themselves.
“The system is well proven and easy for staff to use. We look forward to working with eConveyancer in the months ahead.”
