Since the credit crunch took hold in mid August, edeus has received an average of 137 requests for registration per week.
These registrations have reportedly come not from intermediaries looking for a lender of last resort, but rather from prestigious intermediary partners. In addition, a high number of requests for registration have been received from mortgage clubs and networks.
Even though it has been well documented that business volumes are expected to decrease across the sector in coming months, edeus believe brokers still have faith in the market, and are establishing solid relationships with the lenders they expect to emerge stronger once the current financial cloud has lifted.
Commenting on the figures, Martin Reynolds, edeus commercial director said: "It is more important than ever that brokers align themselves with the lenders they know will last the course. With a variety of lenders falling foul to the demands of the financial markets, it is no surprise that brokers are flocking to lenders who are well placed to operate successfully for the long term. The registration requests we've received are from quality brokers who understand our business model. Our priority is to attract quality business from the highest calibre intermediaries and we are succeeding in doing so".
