The module will be distributed free of charge to standard Trigold users in a controlled roll-out to some 22,000 brokers.
It offers brokers an enhanced factfind, data verification, KFIs and electronic applications enabling brokers to search, sort, select and apply for non-conforming mortgages.
The six lenders involved are Mortgages plc, GMAC-RFC, Kensington Mortgages, SPML, igroup and First National; they account for over 80 per cent of non-conforming lenders.
Jeff Knight, head of marketing services at GMAC-RFC, said: “It was important to be involved initially. The question that needs to be asked is why more lenders aren’t on board, for us it was a no-brainer.”
Julian Wells, head of marketing at Mortgages plc, said: “The fact that six lenders have been able to work so closely together on this project proves its importance.
“It presents information to the broker on a plate.”
Bill Safran, joint managing director of Trigold, said: “This is a huge step. We have aimed to take the fear out of the non-conforming market for brokers.”
Rod Murdison, proprietor at Murdison & Browning, said: “It is a welcome step. It is currently very challenging to research exactly what specifications different lenders require.
“There is also the economic aspect, the non-conforming market is a lucrative one.”
Matt Grayson, head of public relations at BM Solutions, said: “It doesn’t include the UK’s biggest non-conforming lender, so it will not give a whole of market view.”
