The Carbon Neutral mortgage was launched two-years ago and promises to lant 40 trees for every mortgage taken out to offset the greenhouse emissions from the property for five years.
Simon Penlington, general manager for residential mortgages at Norwich and Peterborough, said: "Flexible features such as underpayments, overpayments and payment holidays are very popular now. We would not want customers to to ignore a ‘greener’ mortgage just becasue it did not offer these."
