Mortgage Introducer can this morning finally reveal that Paterson will take up the role after completing his notice period.
A blanket ban was put on the announcement after Paterson quit Assurant at the beginning of the year. That was finally lifted on Thursday last week.
Speaking for the first time since leaving Assurant, Paterson told Mortgage Introducer: “I am really excited about the opportunity to join The Source, and what I believe to be one of the industry’s best kept secrets and I am looking forward to taking the business out to those brokers who have yet to discover The Source.”
It was in Paterson’s most recent role as sales and marketing director at Assurant Solutions Intermediary that he was to encounter The Source team - but at that time as competitors.
Paterson added: “I used to jokingly say that if The Source ever woke up to their potential we would be in trouble - but I never thought I would be given the opportunity to do that!”
Andrew Masters, founder of Source Insurance and chairman, said: “It was clear from the outset that Kevin’s perspective on the intermediary channel would make him a great fit with Source Insurance, he shares our passion for support and service for our brokers and I have no doubt he will be a great addition to our team of talented people, we have a number of exciting developments this year and I am looking forward to working with Kevin to deliver these.”
