ifax is now up and running and means that brokers simply have to fax documents to Alliance & Leicester and they will be received in electronic format on email, making it far more reliable than standard fax. It’s much quicker than relying on the post and there is no risk of lost paperwork. The documents received are much clearer to read than if they had arrived on a standard fax and the Mortgage Centre can even zoom in to view the detail if required.
Jill Butterwood, intermediary transformation manager at Alliance & Leicester, commented: “The launch of ifax as part of our Programme of Transformation highlights Alliance & Leicester’s commitment to providing a fast and efficient service to the intermediary market. In turn, it means that our intermediary partners will also be able to pass on the quicker service to their clients as ifax will speed up processing times, by removing the time it takes for documents to be posted and sorted at the Mortgage Centre.
“As well as speeding up the processing of mortgage applications, ifax offers brokers peace of mind, as once they have received their fax receipt they will know their documents have arrived safely.”
ifax can be used by brokers to send certified packaging, signed intermediary and customer declarations, completed direct debit mandates and paper applications. ifax can be used by any broker who has access to a fax machine so no specialised equipment is required on their part.
