The Financial Conduct Authority will publish the final Mortgages Market Study in the first quarter of the year, its executive director of strategy and competition Christopher Woolard confirmed today.
Woolard said: “We will publish our final report in the first quarter of the New Year.
“Ultimately our vision for the market is a really quite simple one.
“It’s one in which borrowers can access good value products that meet their needs, where competition empowers consumers to make effective choices at every stage in the mortgage lifecycle, and it’s one where firms operate with the culture of treating customers fairly.”

The FCA's Mortgages Market Study interim report was released in May to a mixed response, as trade bodies accused it of focusing too heavily on price.
