The voluntary regulator, which will cease to exist in October of this year, has sent out a pre-populated form, which only needs to be signed and returned by firms.
Head of communications at the MCCB Brad Baker praised firms for reacting quickly and positively to the final registration. Although he cautioned firms who had yet to respond that they were storing up trouble for later in the year.
“Those who miss the final deadline at the end of this month will have to start the entire registration process from the beginning, including fresh compliance examinations,” said Baker. “They will also be given a different MCCB number, which will mean they will have to re-print all of their stationery.”
Firms who have yet to reply to the MCCB will be receiving a reminder letter shortly.
