Whilst just under half of all those surveyed said that they would take steps to fight the flab, only 13 per cent planned to go through and sort out their finances.
Festive denial permeates the nation as over half (58 per cent) of people admitted they either didn't know what Christmas was going to cost them, or simply overspent anyway without regard for the consequences.
