The new premises were by Lord Parkinson, former Secretary of State for Trade and Industry and Huntswood Chairman. The building, which has undergone a £1.8 million re-fit specifically for Huntswood, has the capacity to accommodate up to 500 people.
Providing a significant boost to the local economy and local employment, at 27,000 square feet the office re-fit was one of the largest in the Thames Valley area. The new facilities include a 165-desk call centre based on Avaya technology.
The company chose Reading as it is a significant regional centre for retail financial services, with many clients and consultants based in the area. Reading also provides excellent transport links to all the major business centres.
