Novus Strategy names new CEO; L&G Mortgage Services reveal head of strategic accounts
Novus Strategy and Legal & General (L&G) Mortgage Services have announced senior leadership changes aimed at driving growth and strengthening industry relationships.
Novus Strategy, a strategic advisory and technology consultancy for the home buying and selling industry, has appointed Claire Van der Zant (pictured left) as chief executive officer.
Van der Zant brings extensive experience in scaling businesses and digital transformation, having held senior roles across operations, growth, and strategy. Her appointment supports Novus’ focus on enabling Horizontal Digital Integration (HDI) across the property ecosystem, enhancing interoperability between lenders, law firms and proptech companies.
“Novus has built a strong reputation for its expertise in its agnostic vantage point across the ecosystem and enabling HDI across the property industry,” Van der Zant said. “While the industry has reached a level of vertical digital maturity, the shared ambition to reduce property transaction times and deliver seamless customer journeys is yet to be fully realised.
“The next phase of digital transformation is to unlock greater value through interoperability, with horizontal integration across the industry. I look forward to working with the Novus team, our clients and the wider industry to help realise this next phase of transformation and growth.”
Meanwhile, L&G Mortgage Services has named Jane Simpson (pictured right) as head of strategic accounts. She transitions from her role as strategic relationship manager.
In her new role, Simpson will lead the key relationship team and manage day-to-day engagement with the company's broker partners. Her remit will include strengthening existing relationships and identifying new distribution opportunities, with a focus on supporting brokers in navigating current market challenges.
With over 20 years in the mortgage industry, including seven years as managing director at buy-to-let packager TBMC Cardiff, Simpson brings significant sector experience to the role.
“I’m delighted to continue my journey with L&G’s Mortgage Services business with this exciting new role,” Simpson said. “It’s fantastic to work alongside such a brilliant leadership team who support openness and innovative ideas. I look forward to building and strengthening relationships with our key broker partners and exploring new ways to grow together.”
