Firms boost broker support with new hires

Two firms – CHL Mortgages and Just Mortgages – have announced strategic appointments to bolster their support for brokers and advisers across key regions.

Specialist lender CHL Mortgages has appointed Sam Dillin (pictured left) as business development manager (BDM) for Central, East and West London.

Dillin, who brings experience from his five-year tenure at London-based brokerage Coreco, will be working closely with brokers to help place specialist buy-to-let cases.

“My previous roles working for a broker company have given me invaluable insight into how the broker world operates,” Dillin said on his appointment. “Building and maintaining relationships is key, and I’m looking forward to supporting brokers and their clients with tailored solutions.”

The move, CHL Mortgages said, is part of its broader strategy to enhance broker support across England and Wales. The lender now has six BDMs covering different regions, following the recent appointment of Shaun Persaud as BDM for Essex and East Anglia.

Meanwhile, Just Mortgages has named Tara Catnott (pictured right) as area director for its self-employed division in the north.

Based in Sheffield, Catnott will oversee coaching and development for self-employed advisers in the region while expanding the team with new recruits.

She brings nearly 15 years of financial services experience, including leadership roles at Freedom 365 and Echo Finance. Her expertise spans recruitment, training, onboarding, and business growth.

“Joining Just Mortgages is a fantastic opportunity to share my passion for developing advisers,” Catnott said. “Having started as a self-starter, I understand the challenges many advisers face. I’m excited to use my experience to help them overcome obstacles and scale their businesses.”

Her appointment strengthens Just Mortgages’ self-employed management team, which now supports nearly 500 advisers nationwide.
