FirstAssist has tailored a range of products to provide Tenet LIME members with an ASU proposition which includes mortgage payment protection insurance (MPPI), income protection (IP) and rental protection.
Cover is provided for accident, sickness and unemployment (ASU), accident and sickness (AS) and involuntary unemployment (IU) across all three products. MPPI cover can be sold alongside a new mortgage or on a stand-alone basis and also includes six and 12-month cover options.
Rental protection is designed to be fully portable, meeting the needs of tenants who require a continuation of their cover on expiry of their tenancy agreement.
The bespoke solution also includes a variable commission option, which offers advisers the ability to forgo some of their commission to reduce the cost of cover for their customers. This helps advisers compete more effectively in today's market and is increasingly becoming an essential part of a modern ASU proposition.
Alistair Hardie, managing director of speciality insurance, FirstAssist Insurance Services said: "As other providers have withdrawn or restricted cover, we have remained fully committed and this win further enhances our reputation in the market, providing a great start to 2010, as we continue to successfully grow our intermediary business."
