As a whole in Q3 2019, consumer finance new business grew by 4%.
Consumer finance new business saw a yearly increase of 8% in September according to the latest figures by the Finance and Leasing Association (FLA).
In Q3 2019 new business grew by 4% compared to the same quarter in 2018.
Geraldine Kilkelly, head of research and chief economist at the FLA, said: “September saw consumer finance new business grow by its strongest rate since October 2018, with growth across each of the main finance products.
“Our latest research suggested that UK new consumer credit overall was expected to grow by 3.4% in 2019 as a whole, and by a similar rate in 2020.”
