Rees, who has 23 years’ experience in financial services, was previously a senior partner at Charcol as well as a former employee of Savills Private Finance where he helped to set up the international clients operation.
Paul Munford, chief executive of MCIFA, said: "By rebranding and adding some of the industry's biggest hitters we are focused on maintaining our position as the premier London property financiers for the high net worth, primarily through investment and development finance and short-term loans.”
Joining Nick at MCIFA are relationship manager, Shirin Uma, and client account manager, Anna Wray.
Shirin has worked in the property field for 13 years and will head up MCIFA's Partnership Program while Anna , also a former Charcol employee, has worked in the industry for 12 years, eight of which were spent underwriting mortgage approvals.
The new additions come at a time of strong growth for the company which, after 25 years, recently rebranded from Mortgage Centre IFA to MCIFA.
Rees said: "After seven enjoyable and productive years at Charcol I felt that joining MCIFA was the next logical step in my development.
“MCIFA is renowned in the industry for its focus on high net worth clients and their more complex deal requirements. I look forward to working with Paul and the team to provide an even stronger proposition for MCIFA's clients and partners in the years ahead."
