The service, powered by Omnii’s CheckIT facility, gives brokers access to an online report which enables them to complete a client fact find quickly and make a recommendation based on verified facts.
The credit check, which does not leave a footprint on the client’s credit file, identifies all loans and debts held by the client, making an assessment of affordability much easier. It will also reveal any adverse credit information such as any missed payments and CCJs.
Brokers are also able to obtain an anti-money laundering ID check and confirm the value of their client’s property.
Eddie Goldsmith, senior partner at Goldsmith Williams, said: “Brokers can access the free Omnii CheckIT report online at any time. The reports will save brokers a lot of time and prevent wasted effort by giving them factual information before they make a recommendation to a client. It’s an excellent business tool which I have no doubt will be a big hit with brokers.”
Nick Berry, managing director of Omnii, added: “We’re delighted to be teaming up with Goldsmith Williams to make our CheckIT service available to brokers who use their services. As well as helping with existing clients, CheckIT can also be used as a new business tool, as it gives prospective clients an accurate summary of their credit status and house value, which is an invaluable aid when planning either a house move or when remortgaging.
“The system also reveals renewal dates which can be used by brokers for CRM purposes in the future.”
