Offering information and advice to IFAs around the subject of equity release, Crown will be visiting intermediaries to provide guidance on the options available to homeowners considering unlocking equity.
The series of seminars will begin in October and will also include sessions on changes in the market since regulation, accurate and practical advice on ensuring TCF guidelines are adhered to and ways that IFAs can maximise revenue through equity release.
Managing director of Crown Equity Release, Mark King, said: “With the current pensions crisis, more and more people are tending to rely on the value of their homes to help them through retirement.
"Equity release is becoming an increasingly popular option for many homeowners. However, despite the undoubted growth in the sector, many brokers can be put off by the perceived complexity of the equity release products available in the market and are therefore missing out on what could be an important revenue stream.
“Before homeowners take the important step of releasing equity from their home it is vital they receive the correct information and have a clear understanding of the options available to them.
"With this series of free seminars we hope to work closely with intermediaries to ensure that customers and brokers get the best deal available while adhering to all the tenets of TCF and good business practice.”
