Bignall's role will give him total responsibility for establishing and developing relationships with packagers throughout the UK.
Prior to joining Freedom Lending, Bignall was previously with The Mortgage Business, where he held the positions of head of underwriting, director of credit and director of customer relations. Before that, Bignall had been in various roles with Norwich and Peterborough Building Society.
Bignall said: “This is an exciting opportunity for me and an important development for Freedom Lending. We are receiving an increasing volume of business from packagers and the time is right to give these organisations dedicated support. I’m looking forward to developing the relationships which we already enjoy with a number of leading packager firms.”
