The annual ranking of high growth, job-creating companies published by Europe’s 500 - Entrepreneurs for Growth and supported by Microsoft and KPMG.
Altogether, the 500 top companies have managed to sustain growth since 2002, boosting employment at an impressive average annual rate of 16% and sales at 18%. Despite the challenging business environment, these companies have created nearly 150,000 jobs across Europe in three years. On average each company has created 99 new jobs per year and increased sales by 25 million euros per year.
Tony Machin, Group Managing Director at Freedom Finance, said: “ We’re delighted to have earned a place amongst the top 500 growth companies in Europe for the third year running. Although the financial services market is fiercely competitive, Freedom Finance has continued to go from strength to strength and we have ambitious plans for the future. This is a great accolade for everyone in the business and I would like to pay tribute to all staff for their hard work and commitment.”
Martin Schoeller, President of Europe’s 500 – Entrepreneurs for Growth, said: “The encouraging growth from the new EU member states is an exciting fresh trend. What all the Europe's 500 winning companies demonstrate is entrepreneurial vision, innovative leadership and the market expertise to grow their businesses in a challenging European marketplace, particularly for those in Western Europe which has been characterised by near stagnant growth in recent years”.
