The move will see a number of lenders, such as The Mortgage Business (TMB), edeus, db mortgages, Scarborough Building Society and Freedom Lending offer services to the packager association’s members.
The two tier panel will consist of an upper tier of eight to nine lenders with whom Freehold has made a commitment to write a certain amount of business over a specific period of time. In return, each lender will provide Freehold with marketing material, with each expected to have three exclusive products available to Freehold at any one time.
Terry Pritchard, managing director of Freehold, said: “If you spread yourself too thinly, you can never deliver great volumes of business, so we are expanding our panel as a way of expanding our business. We hope by working with a selection of lenders we can help those who are hungry for business to grow volume as well as build relationships.”
Alan Cleary, managing director at edeus, said: “We have been dealing with Freehold ever since our launch and this is a great way of expanding our relationship with them. The firm fits well with our multi-pronged distribution strategy.”
