Financial advisers, mortgage intermediaries and general insurance brokers in Newcastle, Sunderland and Durham can attend the one-to-one appointments, held between 16 and 18 October.
Lasting up to one hour with a member of FSA staff, firms making an appointment can raise any regulatory queries and discuss whatever they need help with.
The FSA aims to make it easier for small firms to do business with it and provide them with help. It has already introduced targeted information and resources for small firms which includes a more targeted website for small firms (www.fsa.gov.uk/smallfirms), newsletters, e-learning packages, roadshows, surgeries and improvements to the Firm Contact Centre.
Places for the surgeries can be booked online on the FSA website at www.fsa.gov.uk/pages/Doing/small_firms/general/application.shtml
