The programme, which is accredited by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) is available online and can be tailored to meet any firm’s specific compliance and training needs.
The programme’s training presentations are designed to deliver information simply and will be tailored to suit other areas of financial services. The next planned area for development is the mortgage market. The presentations can be used by individuals at their PC or as training tools for groups. The solution is in an easy to understand format that can be referred back to at any time.
The programme can be purchased by individuals or firms and is currently made up of two presentations:
- The impact of FSA Regulation – the broad background to regulation by the FSA
- What FSA Regulation means to a regulated firm.
Further presentations to be launched in the coming months are:
- What will the change to principle based regulation mean?
- Treating your customers fairly
- Dishonesty? Fraud and Anti-Money Laundering
Norman Cochrane, director of FSA Solutions, said: “An essential element of FSA regulation is the requirement that individuals need to understand role of the FSA in the job they undertake, attain competency and then maintain competency in that job. We have designed our training tools to help people do this simply and easily at their own pace, and we’ve included audio and video links and a Q&A session to reinforce learning.
“The programme is also very flexible as any number of people can use it and we can tailor it to a client’s specific needs and re-engineer their own training programmes if required, in a very short timeframe.”
