Held in London at the Victoria Park Plaza on 6-7 February, the conference will review and discuss industry challenges including Basel II, the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID), Solvency II and the Third Money Laundering Directive.
Bank and insurance firms with speakers and delegates at the conference include UBS, Deutsche Bank, Credit Suisse, HSBC, Barclays, Citi, and Prudential.
International regulatory bodies will also be present, alongside consultants from KPMG, Deloitte and BDO Stoy Hayward.
It will cover everything from the effects of the banking crisis to anti-money laundering initiatives; from different regulatory approaches, to the effects of sanctions, data management and customer concerns.
Lyndon Nelson, the FSA's head of risk, said it was an opportunity for the FSA to interact directly with those influenced by regulatory changes.
He will review deadlines and milestones within the UK regulatory landscape, as well as discuss the FSA’s initiative for more principles-based regulation. He will also set out the regulator’s business plan for 2008.
