October produced £53 million in new applications and Genesis said the end of year target is certain to be exceeded.
Nigel Gardner, Genesis’ director of operations, said, “Genesis Home Loans has contributed to this achievement through the expansion of its packager network, which currently stands at 34 in number, combined with an increase in the number of correspondent/branded lending arrangements. The recent launch with Mortgages plc brings the number of Genesis’ lending partners to five.”
Gardner continued, “We have recently strengthened our underwriting resources to handle the influx of applications and now have several underwriters from our funding partners on-site. This will help to ensure that we maintain the superior service standards our packagers and mortgage intermediaries have come to expect.”
