Having recently announced their unique Packager Proposition, Genesis is holding this series of workshops for those packagers who currently intend on being directly authorised. Through these workshops, the Genesis network intends to give packagers an impartial view of how regulation will impact upon their businesses.
During the morning, those attending will be given a detailed compliance presentation on the following topics:
- The Direct Authorisation Process
- The Financial Reporting Requirements
- Training & Competence Requirements
- Client Money Rules
- Capital Resources Requirements
The afternoons will consist of bookable, one-on-one private sessions with a compliance specialist.
Frank Thurlby, Head of Compliance, commented: “Little opportunity has been given for packagers to discuss the impact regulation and compliance will have upon their businesses. We want to give packagers an unbiased and objective source of information, so we have arranged these workshops to enable packagers to come away well briefed on how to approach the weeks ahead and, critically, on what decisions they need to take.”
The dates and locations of the packager workshops are: February 24, Nottingham; February 27, Slough; and March 1, Manchester.
