The move is aimed at helping them secure tied distribution for their packaging operations.
The new KAPPs are Genesis Sherwood of Nottingham, Derby Mortgage Centre Ltd. of Derby, Monetary Matters of Warrington, Utopia Mortgage Solutions of Newark and Capital Mortgages (GB) Ltd. of East Grinstead. All five were individually selected and invited to become KAPPs based on their business potential as well as ability and desire to develop their business within the GHL Group network.
As part of an exclusive group, the KAPPs have access to a range of features and benefits designed to generate increased levels of new business by providing them with maximum market exposure and the ability to recruit and ‘ring fence’ their own Appointed Representatives (ARs). They have also been provided with extensive training on how to recruit members as well as both recruitment sales literature and AR application packs.
Further benefits of being a KAPP include the ability to package for all panel lenders where licence can be obtained, ongoing training, access to a sales support function, a full marketing support programme and quarterly forums. These forums will provide an opportunity for the KAPPs to meet with GHL Group directors as well as high-level decision makers from lenders and engage in discussions such as business processes and the potential for exclusive products.
Marketing support includes a wide range of services including database mailings, sales e-mails, AR recruitment mailings, and trade press exposure. In addition they will also be able to utilise a design and production facility whereby literature can be produced based on their own ideas and requirements, as well as having access to a ‘library’ of literature that is branded for their use.
John Smith, sales & marketing director at GHL, said: “The appointment of the KAPPs is a significant point in the development of the GHL Group network and the start of utilising key accounts to develop new distribution channels. Only a handful of companies will be invited to join us and the benefits to those that do are immeasurable in terms of value and potential business expansion. When deciding on possible KAPPs we looked at a number of factors that we believe demonstrate the company’s forward thinking attitude and business acumen rather than relying solely on set performance criteria. The complete support system we offer, will not only help them to achieve higher business volumes, but also provide them with the ability to secure their own distribution channels. We are certain that the new relationships we are creating will ensure both the KAPPs and the GHL Group network continues to grow and remain productive both now and in the future.”
