McPhail will work alongside Alan Powell to ensure the group’s appetite for tied distribution is met. He will also be working closely with head of secured loan sales, Naz Licence, to further develop the recent success GHL Group has experienced in this sector.
His main task, however, will be to deliver increased sales into all areas of the business, which includes expanding the sales development team by a further five business development managers by the end of the year. This will provide comprehensive coverage across the UK for the group’s distribution.
McPhail joins GHL after having worked a long and successful career at Pearl Assurance. Determined to substantially increase the company’s sales revenue, he commented:
“GHL Group obviously takes customer service and sales very seriously indeed – that is what attracted me to them from the outset. The company has very clear intentions of building on what they have and growing its numbers. These goals require a more robust field sales team and one of my first tasks is to add to our existing group of business development managers, which will immediately place us in a much stronger position.”
