The toolbox, accessable to its Appointed Representative and Directly Authorised brokers, aims to help intermediaries promote a second charge offering to clients.
The fully compliant toolbox has been designed with simplicity and functionality in mind and contains all the necessary marketing materials required to successfully start promoting a firm’s secured loans offering via a 10-strong panel of secured loan lenders. The service includes templates for all aspects of advertising, including customer care letters for introducing business, all of which can be branded with the firm’s own corporate identity.
This online enhancement follows a period of significant growth for GHL Group’s secured loans proposition. The network’s secured loan panel of lenders has more than trebled since the turn of the year which has been met with a positive response by its distribution, resulting in the addition of two case administrators to cope with the demand.
Head of secured loans at GHL Group, Naz Licence, said: “The toolbox has been designed to increase our distribution’s secured loans business. It is straightforward and easy to use; the designs are eye-catching and can be branded to reflect the firm’s corporate identity. All promotional material has been pre-approved by our compliance team and is ready to go.
“It is important to remember that the FSA expects advisers to provide customers with loan products suitable to their needs and circumstances. In some cases an unregulated secured loan may be more suitable than a regulated mortgage. It is always sensible to compare the merits of each before making a recommendation so that you can be sure you have treated your customer fairly.”
