In this role, Gill will contribute her significant experience as an adviser and her in-depth knowledge of the financial services marketplace to further develop Bluecoat’s bespoke practice management system, FinPlan, into the most comprehensive independent software solution for advisers who wish to harness the power of technology, delivering an efficient and cost-effective service to clients at all levels of income and assets.
Cardy was previously at Professional Partnerships Ltd, the business she set up in 1998 to meet the need for high quality, fee-based comprehensive financial planning, working primarily with mass affluent clients to determine financial planning objectives and long term life goals. While there, she spearheaded profitable fee-based financial planning strategies for firms in transition from traditional transactional commission-driven models in preparation for the Retail Distribution Review implementation in 2013.
Cardy is an active industry figure: Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, former member of the FSA’s Smaller Businesses Practitioner Panel, and a regular conference speaker. She was also the first woman to win Money Management’s Financial Planner of the Year award.
