The firm believes that this investment will help the firm to stay one step ahead of its competitors as e-conveyancing moves forward.
Goldsmith Williams is using this year’s Mortgage Business Expo (Manchester 18 –19 May) as a platform to highlight its investment in technology and its commitment to offering clients a full range of online services.
Introducers are increasingly looking to legal firms to provide technology that can speed up transactions while, at the same time, offer security and peace of mind for both the introducer and their clients. Goldsmith Williams has identified the instruction stage to be one of the areas, which introducers generally find the most time consuming and complicated. The firm has invested heavily in this process and, as a result of new hardware and software, introducers can now take advantage of online instructions at the touch of a button.
Eddie Goldsmith, senior partner at Goldsmith Williams comments: “As a firm, we want to be able to offer our introducers all the benefits of modern technology, without impacting on the level of personal service we pride ourselves on. Through this ongoing investment, we aim to harness technology, allowing us to give more time to our teams, which they can then spend talking to introducers.”
He adds: “We don’t believe that conveyancing can be offered from impersonal or automated call centres – the very nature of conveyancing means that a high level of phone contact will be required. When we commissioned research into introducers’ views on conveyancing, 83% of brokers cited a ‘dedicated, named case handler’ and a ‘direct dial contact telephone number’ as being critical factors in their decision making process.
“So, it is clear that although introducers are open to developments in
e-conveyancing, they are still looking for that personal service. We believe that our investment will deliver the best of both worlds – state of the art user-friendly technology coupled with dedicated teams of experienced staff.”
