The launch of the service is the culmination of extensive research undertaken by Goldsmith Williams into the gap in the market for high-quality independent advice from legal experts.
Goldsmith Williams has spent recent months building up a panel of experienced English-speaking legal firms in seven countries – Bulgaria, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Portugal and Spain – where property investment looks set to increase.
Brokers can contact Goldsmith Williams when their clients are looking to purchase property abroad, receiving a legal and administration fee for this instruction. Goldsmith Williams will then contact the client directly with the name and contact details of the appointed legal firm in the relevant country, as well as a client pack which includes a guide to conveyancing abroad.
As part of its international service Goldsmith Williams will also offer a broker referral service for finance through Conti Financial Services and the 4Less Group, who will provide access to a range of competitive mortgage products from UK-based and international lenders.
Nia Jones, international business development manager at Goldsmith Williams, commented: “Purchasing property abroad can often be fraught with problems, from title issues to building faults and even the problems associated with the language barrier. Brokers benefit from the fact that the panel of legal firms have already been thoroughly investigated and come highly recommended.”
Kevin Morgan, managing director of Consilium Financial Planning, said: “More people are certainly looking to buy abroad. Bulgaria is currently a real hotspot. Having a British company dealing with the conveyancing is a great benefit.”
