GOTO Mortgages – a firm linking up estate agents with a group of mortgage advisers – will launch at the end of October.
The firm’s managing director will be Alan Young, formerly business development director of ULS Technology.
GOTO Mortgages will give estate agents the freedom to use whatever mortgage adviser they want – for example they could match a young client with a young adviser, or vice versa.
Both the consumer and estate agent can rate the adviser, with GOTO Mortgages collecting data to ascertain the types of cases where the adviser is most successful.
Nigel Hoath, founder and chief executive of Genle, GOTO Mortgages’ parent company, said: “One of the many benefits of the system is we can see how successful mortgage advisers are based on the loan size, geography and whether the advice is face-to-face or over the telephone.
“It’s about giving the consumer choice.”
According to Hoath GOTO Mortgages already has deals in place with many leading brokerages and estate agencies, the details of which will be revealed shortly.
Young has worked at GMAC, MGM Advantage and ULS, where he met Hoath, while before that he was a professional footballer for Swindon Town.
Hoath added: “I am delighted that Alan has joined GoTo Mortgages - Alan and I worked extremely well together at ULS with complimenting styles. I look forward to an exciting future together.”
Young said: “After a very successful journey with Nigel over the last eight years I am delighted to be heading GoTo Mortgages - a new innovative service for both brokers and estate agents with customer experience being at the forefront of the proposition.”
