No experience is required as Habitus is providing an intensive 12-week training programme to prepare all candidates for the examination leading to the professional qualification of Domestic Energy Assessor.
Fees for the training course are £3,995 with a £1,500 deposit. However, all those who qualify are guaranteed a job with Habitus carrying estimated earnings of between £40,000 to £70,000 per annum and the reimbursement of all their training costs.
From 1 June, all residential properties marketed for sale in England and Wales will have to have a Home Information Pack (HIP) and a mandatory element of the HIP is the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). It is estimated 1.5 million EPCs will be required each year for Home Information Packs. Job prospects could expand further with an Energy Performance Certificate being required on all rental properties.
Habitus chief executive officer Brendan Doyle said: “We have already won national contracts to provide 250,000 Energy Performance Certificates this year and we are still growing. The new profession of Domestic Energy Assessor is a major new career opportunity and Habitus is very pleased to be offering 1000 people the chance to revolutionise their earning potential. No previous experience is required since we will provide the training. All we need are applicants who are similarly excited by the prospects.”
