From 1 June, all residential properties marketed for sale in England and Wales will have to have a Home Information Pack (HIP) and a key mandatory element of the HIP is the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC). With an estimated 1.5 million EPCs required each year for Home Information Packs, this is a definite career opportunity for anyone. Iin two years’ time, prospects couldl expand further with an Energy Performance Certificate being required on all rental properties.
Habitus chief executive officer Brendan Doyle said: “There’s clearly a great interest in this new profession and we are delighted with the initial response. However, there is still time to register to ensure training and qualification by 1 June when the Home Information Pack launches.”
