Mortgage Strategy launched on September 17 2001 - just days after the 9/11 atrocity and to a market in shock.
Then edited by Robyn Hall and published by Centaur the magazine has achieved much over the years.
Michael Bolton, who was head of lending at BM Solutions in 2001, was the first to back the magazine and was instrumental in its launch - donating a classic E-type Jaguar as a competition prize to boost subscriptions.
Bolton, now European sales director at Clayton Euro Risk, said: "10 years ago when Robyn and I launched Mortgage Strategy it quickly became the definitive go to title for the mortgage industry.
"In the early years it broke a string of exclusives and industry scoops like nobody else and became the envy of other publishing houses."
But Bolton added: "Unfortunately in recent times it has become a lot less relevant as it has failed to keep track of changes to the market. Today, at best, it is more a source of gossip."
Robyn Hall, now publisher of Mortgage Introducer, said: "Congratulations to Mortgage Strategy for reaching its 10th Birthday through what have been some difficult times and a true testament to the team behind it."
Last week Mortgage Introducer, now in its 13th year of publication, won best media publication at the prestigious Blemain Group Awards at the Forrest of Arden Golf and Country Club.
It is the only trade mortgage print magazine to have won an award in the last three years.
