Following Leeds was Bradford (286), Birmingham (262), Manchester (259) and Wakefield (218).
Help to Buy has supported 22,831 completions since its launch, while between 30 April and 31 May alone 2,283 completions were made courtesy of the scheme.
Primarily first-time buyers (86%) used the scheme with the average purchase price being £206,084.
In London the top five boroughs using the scheme were Havering (163), Bexley (114), Croydon (103), Greenwich (98) and Bromley (98).
A number of boroughs failed to use the scheme at all however, including Camden, Hammersmith and Fulham, Haringey, Kensington and Chelsea, Redbridge, Richmond, Westminster and City of London.
