Hinckley & Rugby hires national account manager

Hinckley & Rugby for Intermediaries has appointed David Jackson (pictured) as national account manager, as part of its strategy to expand its presence in the specialist mortgage market.

Jackson joins the mutual from Gen H, where he previously served as business development manager (BDM). His career includes sales roles at Metro Bank, The Mortgage Lender, and TAB, as well as running his own brokerage for two years.

In his new role, Jackson will focus on strengthening existing broker relationships and forging new connections for the building society.

Alongside Jackson’s appointment, Hinckley & Rugby has promoted Lisa Paxton to business development manager from her previous role as telephone BDM.

Commenting on his new role, Jackson said he was delighted to be joining the society at “an exciting time.”

“Their recent rebrand projects a more modern image and reflects their ambition to be a leading lender in the specialist mortgage market,” he added. “My experience in specialist lending and as a broker will help me add value to our conversations with brokers and national accounts.”

Recently, Hinckley & Rugby made enhancements to its Income Flex and Credit Flex mortgage products. These changes were made to simplify underwriting criteria and offer support to borrowers with non-standard or multiple income sources, as well as those with adverse credit histories.

“As we continue to grow, it’s important that we build capacity and experience within our sales team,” commented Laura Sneddon, head of mortgage sales and distribution at Hinckley & Rugby for Intermediaries.

“David’s appointment brings a wealth of knowledge, and I know he will be a great addition to an excellent team that will support our drive to become a key mortgage lender in specialist lending. I’d also like to congratulate Lisa on her promotion, which is very well deserved.”
