She is tasked to engage with intermediary partners in new markets
Hinckley & Rugby Building Society has announced the addition of mortgage specialist Laura Sneddon (pictured) to its business development team.
Sneddon, who joins the mutual with more than 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry, was appointed head of mortgage sales and distribution.
Prior to joining Hinckley & Rugby, she was a commercial network manager at Fiducia Commercial Solutions. She also worked as national account manager for Masthaven Bank and The Mortgage Lender, and as business development manager for Together.
In her new role at Hinckley & Rugby, Sneddon aims to seek out new opportunities and to engage with new intermediary partners in markets where the building society is not so well known.
“I’m in a position to influence product development and decision-making for the direct benefit of brokers and their clients,” Sneddon said. “And I have an amazing team of enthusiastic professionals who are committed to the same journey.
“We are actively looking at specific demographics, to pinpoint where the society’s flexible approach can deliver positive outcomes for deserving clients whom many lenders discriminate against.”
Commenting on her appointment, Sneddon said she knew from her first conversation with Hinckley & Rugby that it was the right job for her.
“I feel I’m in the right place, at the right time, to develop specific broker relationships to meet the needs of today’s untypical borrowers,” she elaborated. “Those brokers, the society, and I personally, share precisely the same values and goals.”
