Brown has worked in senior client relationship roles at the Royal Bank of Scotland and Northern Rock – after a spell in professional cricket that saw him represent England in 1996.
Chief commercial and finance officer, Neil Warman, said: “We’ve spent a lot of time and effort developing the customer journey to ensure it reflects the brand and value of our clients, now we are taking that ethos into the B2B environment to ensure our clients have the right quality experience when dealing with HML.
“Simon’s solid background in handling sizable commercial clients and fostering strong relationships ensures he is well prepared for this vitally important role within HML. Crucially, he’s a team player who can motivate, inspire and lead.”
Brown, who reports into director of client relations, James Parker, said: “It’s an interesting time for the UK financial services industry with a lot of change, challenges and opportunities. I’m looking forward to helping our clients navigate these. I'm thoroughly enjoying working with the commercial team here at HML - the culture and the ‘one team’ ethic have been inspiring and motivating from the start.”
