Cornelius has joined HML as director of savings & unsecured lending and will be responsible for strategy and business development in these sectors. Most recently he was director of banking at Virgin Money and he has held senior roles at Bradford & Bingley and Capital One.
HML’s move will see it evolve into a ‘one stop shop’ for the administration of savings and lending products. The firm already provides outsourced mortgage administration services to over 30 UK & Irish financial institutions and has over £40bn assets under management.
Neil Warman, chief commercial & finance officer at HML, said: “Expanding into these new markets is central to HML’s strategy. We recognise we need to invest in our capability in order to succeed and I am delighted to welcome Ian to the team. He offers great experience across the financial services industry and has outstanding credentials to help us to develop our offering.”
