The move comes in the wake of a number of key strategic developments including the acquisition of Baseline Capital and the announcement that HML is to integrate with former Scarborough Building Society subsidiary SMS.
The company will now be headed by a six strong executive team, led by Brian Brodie, who becomes chief executive officer (CEO) as part of the restructure. Neil Warman will be chief commercial and finance officer and will also act as Brodie’s official deputy. Reporting to Warman, Jeff Quilter will take up the new position of director of strategy. Martin Frazer, formerly managing director at SMS, will succeed Quilter as director of client relations and will also report to Warman.
Jonathan Pattinson, who joined in March from Northern Rock, takes on the role of chief risk officer; and Andrew Jones becomes chief information officer and takes responsibility for all aspects of technology, business change projects, and recently acquired Baseline Capital (which is being rebranded as HML Business Intelligence). Damian Riley, formerly managing director of Baseline, will report to Jones as director of business intelligence. Gordon Soutar will be chief operating officer and Rachel Fawcett becomes chief of HR.
